Today we had a lunch bunch with the only 3 kids to have their entire reading log filled in from the beginning of school. I brought chocolate chip cookies for dessert!
Celebrating this kiddo's birthday with his whole family, delicious cup cakes, and our classroom family! We got to celebrate Constitution Day by having a local attorney visit our classroom. The kids did an amazing job impressing him with their knowledge of the history of our government and the three branches of government. We started multiplication and the kids are so excited! It is very important that students understand what they are actually doing when they multiply instead of just memorizing facts. We will be spending the next couple days working with arrays and groups in order to help understand the concept of multiplying. My classroom family got to meet my real family! My parents came to visit and saw my awesome class in action. They also brought them little presents from Florida! Students are working on graphing skills this week. Each table had to create their own graph by collecting data, figuring out correct labels for the graph and determining an appropriate scale. |
