We are all a little sunburned and tired after a great day at Confluence Park in downtown Denver. We learned so much about the history of Denver! Did you know that the two major floods that devastated our city were almost exactly 100 years apart? The first was in 1864 and the second was in 1965. It was such a great day!

The kids did a great job picking up trash around the school and Godsman Park. We learned so much this week about ways we can change our habits in order to help protect the Earth. I personally am going to do everything I can to reduce the amount of trash I produce. What can you do to help the environment? Ask your student for ideas!

Ask your student what they learned and take a look at the Scholastic News article that was sent home yesterday.
The kids worked so hard during testing that I decided to treat them to root beer floats! Thanks for working so hard!
