We uses what we learned about beam, arch and suspension bridges in our designs to make the strongest bridge possible out of recycled materials.
My previous career was working with the Environmental Protection Division. Teaching my students about taking care of our precious earth is something I will always love. My class did a great job cleaning up our playground and the sidewalks around the school! Hopefully they will inspire others to do the same!
We have been working hard all year to learn how to collaborate in math. We practice sharing our ideas, explaining our thinking and checking our answers with partners. Students know that being able to work in groups effectively is an important life skill.
It was cold and rainy but the kids embraced the weather and learned a lot! I told them to just pretend we were actual pioneers and that we had to be tough and resilient!
